Old Images of Cincinnati and Clifton presented on the Esquire screen in 2011 with Jerry Springer Hosting

 Clifton School
 The Busy Bee

Old Hardware Store

Burnet Woods ?

Street Cars...when Street Cars were Street Cars !
Clifton Fire House (?)

Gag shot of boy with pin about to burst balloon.

I have no idea why this was shown....

I would like to finish this series...so a few of Jerry Springer in 1972 and I'm done.

Jerry was, in November 2011, upon seeing this photo (and others but I believe this one in particular)
very pleased, recognizing the woman and finding an example of when smoking cigarettes inside buildings was acceptable.

Photos above  taken in April 1972, autographed November 2011

While posting this series of photos illustrating the rescue of the neighborhood theater, Ihave always had in my mind the project at hand  https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/clifton-market-cooperative
I was reminded today that after "Politics" Jerry was on the air for TV news before he went on to...hosting that weird show we won't mention.

The thought had long been in my head and possibly in many heads that our project https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/clifton-market-cooperative could be accelerated if we had more ..something...something like the link below.

From, coincidentally, 2011, this piece http://articles.latimes.com/2011/aug/05/entertainment/la-et-jerry-lewis-20110805  returned my imagination to what might be possible.

Jerry Lewis...Jerry Springer..a logical stream of thought...?...
My fantasy is that Jerry Springer might do a TV or radio event in Cincinnati for a couple days to raise the funds more efficaciously to get this Clifton Market built and functioning very soon with the help of all of the Cincinnati audience. In theory enough funds could be raised to surpass the present design envisioned for the Clifton Market. There are greater design possibilities to allow Clifton to shine amongst other communities in Cincinnati. Imagination and action are only hindered by lack of "fuel - energy" ($$$$$$)....something of which I am intimately aware.

It looked like Jerry was having a great time. I loved it! Note the last image at bottom with the message we need to keep in mind at this time.

Jerry Springer - Cincinnati; Continued

Going back to the movie made to promote the success of the Esquire theater.
Here Jerry Springer is playing a corrupt politician.
Apparently the big cigar is mandatory :)

The plot then thickens...or sickens.
Does any one remember the plot...or even care?
THIS is what we cared about back then....
Jim Borgman put it to CARTOON and Jerry narrates.
Our community wanted its theater back and we said NO! to Wendy's
Boarded Esquire
We wanted to stop so called progress and we did.
Saving everything is never going to happen.

Jerry Springer and The Esquire Theater (Cincinnati)

Jerry Springer and The Esquire Theater
This link http://www.gaslightproperty.com/esquire-theatres-art-house-jamboree-a-chance-to-show-some-love/  ...

First lets go back to April 1972 when Jerry Springer was but a councilman....famous then for his honesty and transparency (   :) for those who know  ).

http://lens-image.blogspot.com/2015/01/american-sniper-and-jerry-springer.html
On  November 10, 2011 Jerry came back home to Cincinnati to celebrate the 1911 opening of the Esquire because Jerry Springer was very helpful assisting the Clifton community in Cincinnati with rescuing the Esquire Theater.

Someone found out I had the photos on me from 1972 (My business is a stone's throw from the theater). He introduced me to Jerry Springer who was very pleasantly surprised by the photos.
I gave him a few prints and Jerry signed a few prints for me. I will post a few of the prints from 1972 for which I had no space in http://lens-image.blogspot.com/2015/01/american-sniper-and-jerry-springer.html

The celebration was great, at the Esquire Theater.
I did not use flash IIRC because flash is disruptive...therefore Jerry looks a bit wobbly as he graciously met and talked to old friends and new ones. What Jerry did after Cincinnati politics was JUST show business. Inside Jerry Springer is a warm good person.

In the process of saving the Esquire from becoming another fast food joint, one of millions around the world, the saviors of the theater made a mystery movie that was shown upon the rescue of the theater and then on this day of  November 10, 2011.

The above is the opening screen of that movie shown decades later. No flash so it was on slow shutter speed..it says "If you can piece the clues together...you're doing better than we are!!!

Marylin Hyland is shown playing her part in the mystery film; below. Marilyn Hyland is a publicist,
https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/clifton-market-cooperative  which reminds me so much of the effort to save The Esquire.
Another frame of the movie
After the movie on the Esquire screen concluded, Jerry played with a band within the Esquire
More photos of Jerry c. 1972, as a young kid councilman will be posted later.
Funds are coming in from all over the world and I know this Photo blog is seen in France, Botswana, Egypt, Russia, India, Australia, Israel, Malaysia, Canada,Poland, UK, Germany etc....or so Google tells me....

By the way....my autographed photos of Jerry Springer are NOT for sale....never...ever...hmm...I sure could help the project https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/clifton-market-cooperative  if I did sell them. OK... but anyone interested must negotiate with my guy... in the black eye patch... as seen here; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKKHSAE1gIs
